Castleville Alastair Gremlins Quest Guides


The Gremlins have been cursed! Free them from Faugrimm’s curse, collect Charmstones for use in the Charmstone Market, get new special prizes and unlock two expansion areas!
Alistair has found the Keystone of the Gremlins. If we can combine our magic, we may be able to free the Gremlin Village from the Gloom!
Additional Info About Gremlins:
- Gremlins will runaway if not transformed in time (your timer can be seen above the gremlin itself.) You will have a certain amount of time to both stun them as well as transform them before they leave.
- Make sure to to stun and transform the Gremlins as you go. If you have too many in your kingdom, you may not be able to get anymore to spawn until you transform some of the ones you already have!

Note: Gremlins have a chance (not 100% guaranteed, however) at spawning from tending flowers, shrubs, bushes as well as chopping trees once you have completed the quest above. They do not spawn from animals. They will also spawn from the Keystone, guaranteed each time you’re able to tend it. You will build that later on in this release (see quest 6 below for more information.)
The Gremlin we found looks like it’s been cursed by magic. We will have to stun the Gremlin to slow it down so we can cast a Break Curse spell on it to help it return to its former self.

  • Cast 2 Break Curse Spells

After stunning a Gremlin, we need to cast a Break Curse spell:
After casting the spell, you can choose your reward for helping out the Gremlin (this screen will vary player to player.) You will receive Charmstones each time, which you can use in Charmstone market.

Take notice of the purple moss on the village – it’s from the curse. The Charmstones we were given may do more – let’s visit the village and see just what they can do.

Now is the time to earn more Charmstones. With those, we’ll be able to clean up the village, purchase items in the Charmstone market & unlock items in the new expansion area!

  • Cast 3 Break Curse Spells
  • Craft 2 Loot Bags
Quest rewards
  • 2500 Coins
  • 50 XP
Faugrimm won’t let us win that easily. We must ward off the Beasties before they overrun the Gremlins!

  • Cast 1 Banishus Maximus Spell
  • Cast 4 Break Curse Spells
  • Spend 15 Charmstones
Check out all the items for sale in the Charmstone Market (Accessible in the regular market or by clicking on the Charmstone Market building located in the new expansion area.) Spend at least 15 to complete this part of the questline.:
