This is the new version of the previously released August 2012 Alastair Quest. There are a few changes, and don’t worry if you have already built Mage Towers. The quest tasks will be completed for the parts to build them!

Good Tidings! Fantastic news! The Mages’ Guild is considering me for a promotion to the level of First Class Mage! I think celebrations are in order.
Trial by Magic: 1 of 10
Have 1 party active to ensure your Kingdom is in a festive mood! Parties can be started by crafting, then placing any Party Starter in the Pavilion.
Craft 2 Ice Cream Cones. Ice Cream Cones can be crafted in the Kitchen.
Harvest 5 Pumpkins. It’s useful for making many festive treats! Pumpkins can be planted in any empty Farm Plot.
Quest rewards: 4250 coins, 85 exp.
Ivory Tower. Every Wizard that’s ever achieved the level First Class Mage has a Mage Tower. It’s sure to impress the Mages’ Guild!

Have foundation for 1 Mage Tower. Buy a Mage Tower from the Market under Buildings in the Royal section.
Craft 3 Hammers for construction. Hammers can be crafted in the Workshop after building a Blacksmith.
Mine 12 Gloomed Rocks to secure the foundation. Buy extra Gloomed Rocks in the Market under Nature if you’re out!

Mind Games. My first trial for the Mage Aptitude Test has arrived: Mental Weight Lifting! I was a pro mindbuilder back at the Mage Academy. I’m sure I’ve still got it!

Craft 1 Anvil for Alastair to lift. Craft Anvils in the Workshop.
Craft 3 Steel Bars to lift. Steel Bars can be crafted in the Workshop after building a Smelter.
Collect 20 Milk Bottles. Fuel for the mind! Feed adult Cows to collect Milk Bottles.
Quest rewards: 1 Big Energy Potion, 5250 coins, 105 exp.
Spring De-Cleaning. A representative of the Mages’ Guild is coming HERE to inspect my House! Its current state is far too… clean for a Wizard. Let’s make it look a little more Wizardy.

Have 10 Meteorites. They look magical! Ask Friends for Meteorite.
Craft 1 Purity Wand. The more wands and staves laying around, the better! Purity Wands can be crafted in the Studio.

A Familiar Face. I’ve been thinking about getting a familiar for awhile now. The Mages’ Guild inspector will expect me to have one, so I have to choose fast!

Craft 2 Animal Treats to offer the Animals. Animal Treats can be crafted in the Kitchen after building a Mill.
Prepare and cast the Lucky Rainbow spell in the Nature Magic section of your Spellbook.
Tend any 25 Animals to find the perfect one. Click on any Animal to tend it.

E.S.P. The second trial in the Mage Aptitude Test is a test of Mind Reading. This is a feat I try to avoid doing as it tends to drain the caster of magical energy.

Craft 2 Green Fairy Elixirs. When a subject drinks it, their thoughts get a little… louder. Green Fairy Elixirs can be crafted in the Studio.
Craft 3 Fish Fillets for Alastair. Fish boosts your psychic energy! Fish Fillet can be crafted in the Kitchen.
Harvest 20 of any crop. Focusing on a menial task clears your head. Plant any crop in any empty Farm Plot, then harvest it when it’s grown.
Quest rewards: 1 Gloom Dragon Potion, 5250 coins, 105 exp.
Material Boy. The Mages’ Guild only promotes Wizards who use their powers for good. I must prove to them that I am above all material temptations!

Have 12 Love Letters for Alastair to decline. Ask Friends for Love Letters.
Craft 1 Moist Coffee Cake to tempt him with. Craft Moist Coffee Cakes in the Kitchen.
Tax 15 Houses to remove temptation. Alastair should be above desire for wealth.
Quest rewards 5250 coins, 105 exp.
A Brave Deed Indeed. The final trial for the Mage Aptitude Test is the test of Bravery. The Mages’ Guild wants to see that I am willing and able to protect my Kingdom.

Craft 2 Flaming Swords. Craft Flaming Swords in the Studio.
Harvest 10 Chili Peppers. Only the bravest in the land can stomach them! Chili Peppers can be planted in any empty Farm Plot.
Banish any 5 Beasties. Click on a Beastie to banish it.
Quest rewards: 1 Castleberry Punch, 4250 coins, 85 exp.
Towering Above. While we wait to hear back from the Mages’ Guild we should finish this Mage Tower. Then everyone will know a First Class Mage protects this Kingdom!

Complete 1 Mage Tower. Finish construction on the Mage Tower, then fully crew it.
Craft 4 Sweet Buns for the opening ceremony. Sweet Buns can be crafted in the Kitchen.
Collect 13 Beeswax to wax its parapets. Tend Flowers to collect Beeswax.
Quest rewards: 5250 coins, 85 exp.
Promote Good Wizards. I received the news this morning! I’ve been promoted to First Class Mage! And I’m going to tell EVERYONE the news!

Have 10 Enchanted Ink so Alastair can write a thank you letter to the Mages’ Guild. Ask Friends for Enchanted Ink.
Craft 1 Flag to advertise Alastair’s new position. Flags can be crafted in the Studio after building a Tailor.
Visit 5 Neighbors’ Kingdoms to spread the word! Click on a Neighbor’s picture in the Neighbor Bar to visit their Kingdom.
